Error correction H
The code can lose up to about 30% of its modules. The logo uses that margin, not the data.
Custom QR code
Put a logo in the middle and keep the code scannable. The generator switches to error correction H automatically and places the logo on a clean plate.
A real code, generated with the studio.
Why it works
The code can lose up to about 30% of its modules. The logo uses that margin, not the data.
The logo sits on a white rounded plate, so transparent PNGs and dark marks do not create noise.
The SVG keeps the logo and the modules sharp at any print size.
The guide
With error correction H, a centred logo can cover roughly 20% of the width. QRCanvas uses 21%, including the white plate, and keeps the logo away from the three finder corners. A larger logo may look good but reduce the scan margin.
Contrast matters more than the logo. Keep the modules dark and the background light; do not place the logo over the quiet zone. Test a printed proof: a screen scan is more forgiving than a laminated menu in low light.
Level H can recover about 30% of the code. The logo covers modules, so the encoder needs more redundancy. The pattern becomes denser but the scan is safer.
Yes. A logo that is too large, low contrast or placed over a finder corner can make the code unreadable. Keep it centred and under about 20% of the width.
For the exported QR, a PNG logo is enough and is embedded in the SVG. Use a vector logo source if you plan to edit the file in Illustrator or Figma.
Yes. Remove it in the studio and generate a new code. A printed code cannot be edited.
