One stable link
Keep the menu URL and update the page or PDF behind it. The QR code never changes.
Menu QR code
Link the QR code to your menu page or PDF. Print it on table tents, windows and receipts: when the menu changes online, the printed code still works.
A real code, generated with the studio.
Why it works
Keep the menu URL and update the page or PDF behind it. The QR code never changes.
Use a card frame with a short caption, print at 3–5 cm and laminate it. It survives a busy service.
Guests open the menu in the browser. You do not need a restaurant platform or a subscription.
The guide
A web menu is better than a PDF: it loads fast, adapts to the phone and can be updated without changing the URL. If you use a PDF, keep it under a few MB and test it on both iPhone and Android.
A static QR code points to the address you entered. If you move the menu to a new URL, the old code breaks. Use a stable path and keep it for years; print the code at 3–5 cm with a quiet zone and high contrast.
Yes, if the URL stays the same. Update the page or replace the PDF at the same address. The QR code points to the URL, not to the content.
Usually yes on a phone: PDFs need zoom and loading. A responsive web menu is faster and easier to read. A PDF is acceptable for a temporary or designed menu.
3–4 cm is comfortable on a table tent; 5 cm is better on a window. Keep the quiet zone and test at the final print size.
A static code has no tracking. If you need analytics, use a redirect service and accept its privacy and dependency trade-offs. QRCanvas deliberately does not add tracking.
